I ran into a vintage – inspired photo from Modcloth, my new favorite shopping site for vintage – inspired fashions and started obsessing about black lace dresses. I think black lace dresses are so glamorous with a touch of vintage appeal – just my style.
The dress they call, “Well-Mannered Minx Dress” for $141.99 is adorable, isn’t it? If I didn’t have one already similar to it, I’d get it right now.
Below is the too-similar dress that kept me from making another unneeded Christmas purchase. Dress by Morgan & Co. was bought at Kohl’s for under $40.
I’ve last worn the dress with a tight black cardigan, sparkly rhinestone bracelets and black ankle booties.
Below are pictures of other fashionistas rocking the black lace dress. What do you think?
Queen of vintage and fellow blogger, Ashley Ording stays true to her vintage love with Jcrew shoes and a vintage dress.
In the above photo, a fellow Chictopian, Micchie, keeps it simple in all black and all designer with her Louboutin shoes, miss-selfridges dress and her Balenciaga tote.
I would like to announce a couple winners of FabGab Freebies. Firstly, the winner of the Lucky Magazine 1year subscription is Heather S.
Also Michelle has won the vintage dress.
Congrats to all! Please check back for more goody bag giveaways on FabGabBlog.com.
As a continuation to my previous post on pretty pastel inspiration boards, here’s part 2. I’m on a roll.. Right now, I’m dreaming of a vintage princess themed wedding. Not all of us can be Kate Middleton but we can dream, right?
Here’s a vintage glam inspiration board featuring the interior of the New York Palace Hotel, my dream wedding venue.
Also along the pretty pastel vintage princess theme is the below inspiration board. I’m especially loving the cake’s pale pastel colors, feathery details and shimmery blue damask details below. What do you think?
Right now, I’m loving the vintage touch to event decor. And I’m dreaming of a vintage glam wedding. Here are some inspiration boards that I’ve created along the way that would be great for any non-wedding event too!
I love the muted pastels, gold accents and glam details. Is anyone else loving these images?
I just fell in love with the ethereal photography of Simply Bloom and started stalking their website, blog and photos like an obsessed photo fanatic. Here’s a stop motion film from them that I thought was so cute I had to share.
SimplyBloom Stop Motion Film from christine berry on Vimeo.
There photography too has such a sweet, vintage feel. Here are some of my favorite examples.
The styling choices of props, poses and fashion are just perfect, aren’t they? And I love how the light and composition creates such a fresh, light perspective. Simply Bloom is coming to NYC soon and I may just have to get on their calendar!

Everyone can appreciate a pretty boy but this dude looks like a lady.
This Australian beauty’s name is Andrej Pejic. Is it just me or does he not remind you of Natalie Portman?
Pejic has appeared in French, Japanese, Turkish and Italian Vogue and has just shot his first global advertising campaign. what do you think? It’s amazing how he doesn’t just slide off this couch with those oiled up legs, isn’t it? It looks like we’ve got a real pro here, cuz knowing me, I’d have slipped right off like butter on a frying pan. I just noticed. They cut off his feet in this picture. Do his unwomanly, un-pedicured feet give him away?
