Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a great Memorial Day Weekend!  I spent it visiting the Cloisters (for the first time ever), watching the Dictator movie and walking around Manhattan with my hubby.  What a beautiful day it was!

Here, I’m wearing a strapless dress from H&M, an army green jacket and necklace from Forever 21, bow headband and some funky wedges.  I think the entire outfit only costed around $100!

I heart NY!

Come back for my next post and enter to win a GIANT goody bag giveaway!!

As you can see from my blog design, I love black and white with a pop of color like Tiffany Blue or turquoise.  So when I ran across the below image in Pinterest, I couldn’t help but be reminded of my blog colors.  This seems to fit right in!  What do you think?

How is everyone doing?  I’ve been busy catching up on work now that I’ve been away from the office for over a week.  There are days where I have to admit, I start to fantasize about an early retirement (like during my 60hour week 2 weeks ago), and then there are days like today where I simply love my job.

One of the fun parts of  my job as a Marketing/ PR Director at a major retailer is that I get to dress up a little, in a fun and non-corporate manner.  This outfit below consists of a Red Valentino swing skirt, cashmere top, and Ann Taylor leather jacket.

The purse is Chanel and the shoes are Via Spiga with Aldo bow clips. The necklace is Kate Spade. The sunglasses in my hair are Chanel.

Guess what ladies, I’m cleaning out my closet which means that there will be some fashion for sale!  I”ll give each item a week’s posting here before turning to ebay to sell my goods.  The first item is a vintage pink ruffled dress that I last wore on my trip to Longwood Gardens in PA.

I wore it here with my silver Prada Saffiano bag and silver ballet slippers but the pink also looks great with white, Tiffany blue, nude, and other pastels.  You could even rough it up by pairing it with a black leather jacket to counter all the girliness.

I loved how the wind kept blowing it up, creating a totally new silhouette.

The dress features cap sleeves and a ruffle-front blouse.

I couldn’t resist having a little fun in the garden while there 🙂

I’ll take best offers but starting bid must be $20 or more.  The size runs like a size 4 (elastic waist fits a size 25”-28” most comfortably) and the dress comes with a matching pink striped tie belt in the same fabric.  You can tie it as a bow in the back like I did, or wear it over a cardigan or another top to literally tie the whole outfit together. Here’s a shot of the back – sorry the flash washed out the color.

So start bidding and don’t forget to leave me your email if you are leaving me a comment else I can’t contact you!

Through pinterest, I just discovered the cutest girls’ fashion line,  I don’t have kids, but how could you not get a kick out of these darling polka dot fashions?

I love Baroque style frames – especially white ones.

They’re just so girly and glam.

baroque white frames   And I especially love them when juxtaposed next to modern elements.  Philippe Starck does this well. frames1

So when I came across this seating list at my friend’s wedding I fell in love with the novel idea.  Instead of using the traditional tent cards to
guide guests to their seats, names were written on a mirror beautifully framed in a baroque style finishing.

Here I am with my dear friend, Janell who is also wearing a vibrant colored, asymmetrical evening gown.  Great minds think alike!

I wish I would have thought of this idea for my wedding!

I’m obsessed with my new diamond necklace.  It’s so versatile!  I can dress it up by wearing it to a dressy event alone or I can layer it with more casual pieces and wear it to work!

dress:  Saks Fifth Avenue, cowl neck cashmere sweater BCBG, purse Chanel, shoes Alberta Feretti, jade colored chain necklace Express.

dress Shoshanna, ballet flats Forever 21, purse Chanel, red bead necklace vintage

dress Shoshanna, purple necklace thrifted, leopard tote Adrianna Vittatani, purple heels H&M

I  just finished a turquoise inspired event and will share photos of it soon but for now, here are some fabulous photos of turquoise-themed event details!
