chanel purse

I’m not normally a fan of yellow but somehow this sunny yellow JCrew skirt spoke to me.  And it’s refreshingly versatile.  Pair it with a neutral like I did in the first picture below and immediately it helps tone down the outfit.  (Lipstick scarf, lace top by Ellen Tracy, flats from JCpenney).

Or wear it with black and white and a pop of color.  (Zara shoes, Chanel purse, Bettes B, TJMaxx hat)

For work, I might wear it with my metallic and black Zara blazer as shown below. Spiked necklace is from TJMaxx and the gold studded tank is from Century 21.  P urse is Chanel and heels are Dolce Vita from Saks.

Which one is your favorite outfit and would you wear such a bright, sunny yellow?

This is a sexy asymmetrical dress that I actually returned because it was just that – too sexy.  I tried it on with some fringe suede boots, a couple bracelets and my Chanel chain purse.  And although I liked it with the boots (it covered a little more skin), I decided I simply didn’t have the lifestyle to warrant keeping the dress.  It’s not like I’m planning to go clubbing anytime soon.  I’m married.  Those days are over. ha

So who wants my purse??  Make me an offer and I’ll consider selling it to you.

The faux fur coat is Express.  The camel vest, Club Monoco.  The skirt is Tahari, the polka dot, tie-front blouse is by Lord & Taylor and the heels are Dolce Vita from Saks.   I’m thinking about selling the Chanel purse you see here because I fell in love with another one so message me if you want to make an offer! It’s in mint condition.

It’s been a long, long work week.  It’s been 10-12 hours /day in fact since I’m working on about 40 events at once and being that I have 21 events just this month to plan, invoice, execute and recap ( on top of handling the PR, local business development and helping to drive retail sales for the store).  It is times like these that I start to fantasize about an early retirement.  But I can’t complain ‘cuz once I do force myself out of bed, finish my (up to 1hr) commute and step foot into the store, I’m somehow energized.  Perhaps it’s the fashion that surrounds me.  Perhaps, it’s the people there that I love.  Or perhaps it’s simply because we’re all required to smile and be happy in this service culture. ha whatever it is, Saks Fifth Avenue always brings a smile to  my face.

I love this fall weather.  I can break out my new fall fashions and wear somewhat impractical items such as this loop scarf that fails to do what a scarf is made to do, warm your neck.  Still, I love it.  What girl doesn’t like something with a little sparkle?

Here, I’m wearing a scarf, cashmere cowl neck sweater and shoes all from Saks.  The zippered leather skirt is Tessuto and the Chanel purse is for sale here!  Want a deal on Chanel?  This is your chance!

In the next outfit, I’ve paired the black bling scarf with a vintage suit that I stole from my mom’s closet and had hemmed shorter. I love the poof shoulders and cropped sleeves.

I had to beg for an entire year before she finally gave it up.  What a way to teach a child persistence, right?  Here, I’ve paired it with a simple white shirt, flower brooch (to cover a moth hole haha) and boots from Forever 21.  I painted that shoe shelving unit myself by the way.  For more on my personal style, click through to my style diary.

I will never forget the first time I bought my first Chanel.  I had just received my bonus check from work and decided it was time to treat myself.  I fell in love with the sparkly chain and buttery soft calfskin leather and with just one left in inventory, I knew I  had to have it.  And now it can be yours!

I’m taking best offers just leave me your offer as a comment here along with your email so that I can reach you.  Winning bidder can pay me through Paypal.com.  I’m considering all offers for the next month or so!

The only wear that you’ll really notice is what you see here – the minor scuffs.

The CC logo pushes back to open up the purse.  And as you can see, the interior has a zippered pocket and original authenticity card.

It also has a convenient pocket for a cell phone.  And the interior is in great condition as you can see.

Chanel Chanel Chanel, ladies!  You’ve gotta love it!

Here’s the back and bottom of the purse!

It’s classic without being like everyone else’s Chanel.  And the size is perfect as an everyday bag.  Here it is on me so you can get a feel for proportion. It’s 12″ wide at the base and 8″ tall.

And this is the purse with a work outfit (above) and a play outfit (below).   See how it can transition in both arenas?

I’m looking to sell the purse for around $1500 so let me know your best offer.

Thanks everyone and happy shopping!  Please forward this link to anyone you think might be interested.

So I was at Marshall’s the other day and could not believe my eyes when I saw this pair of bell-bottom jeans on sale for $5.99.  There was absolutely nothing wrong with the pair and it was on-trend with its bright, teal color.  Needless to say, I snatched it up before Marshall’s realized their mistake.

That, silver-chained beauty by the way, is my new birthday present!  I bought that Chanel purse on double discount at Saks where I work. (And now I just HAVE to sell my other black Chanel, if only to lessen my purse-buying guilt).  Does anyone want it?    I’m considering best offers!

Anyways, I wore this new pair of Z Cavaricci jeans with a black lace tank from Forever 21 (also worn here) and leather jacket from Ann Taylor.  I know.. I know…Z Cavaricci just doesn’t sound as cool as JBrand or some other fancy, overpriced pair but hey, for $5.99 I figured I could bare the embarrassing brand name. The sunglasses are Chanel and the shoes are Dolce Vita, both bought from Saks.  I swear, half my paycheck goes right back there!

It always feels so nice to be able to pull on a pair of jeans over the weekend, given I’m not allowed to wear them at work.  These are great because they have a little spandex so they’re super comfortable and stretchy…perfect after a big meal!  In case you’re wondering how else to wear this new trend of rainbow bright jeans, I’ve collected some of my favorite images of fashionistas from around the world.

This fellow Chictopian looks great in her citrusy outfit (jeans from American Apparel) proving that color blocking can be chic, not just bold.

Halliedaily.com paired her fire engine red jeans with a chunky black and white sweater and classic Chanel purse.  I love her shoes and love her bike!

Fashionablej.blogspot.com wore a black and white striped blazer with her fun Barbie-pink jeans and yellow wedges.  She went for the total hipster look with her nerd glasses which I wrote about here.

Proving that bright, trendy jeans don’t have to be expensive, this fashion blogger, wears a Tiffany Blue pair from JCPenney and pulls the whole look together with her necklace and neutrals.

This blogger from superficialgirls wore a candy colored pastel outfit in a sweet effortless way.

This blogger from intriguemenow.blogspot.com wears her Topshop jeans in a monochromatic manner, only adding a pop of sexy, crimson heels that skyrocket her to a new height.

As you can see, when wearing a bright bold hue as your bottom, you’re probably safest staying with a solid pairing on top.  If you do decide to mix in a pattern, make sure you’re bringing in the colored hue from your jean, and keeping the accessories and shoes minimal.

I hope this post inspired you to take a fashion risk with your jeans.  As you can see, this new look can liven up and freshen your entire wardrobe!

As part II to my earlier Spring 2012 New York Fashion Week fashionistas post, this post will feature fashionistas caught by my FabCam.  For those of you who don’t already know, I shoot fellow fashionistas whose style I admire and take interest in.  There’s no fashion bashing here.  It’s all love!

Below is a lovely blonde who was wearing what looked like a vintage-styled blouse with Fall’s trendy snakeskin and the Valentino shoes that I’ve been dying for.

The blonde pictured above is a fellow blogger.  What caught my eye about her (besides her striking beauty) was that striking leather jacket.  But I love how she paired it with a swingy, simple dress, cute booties and a clutch that offered a bright pop of color.

Okay, so there are a lot of blonde beauties walking the tents of New York Fashion Week.  This one was a bit of a risk taker.  Check out those shoes!  They’re what I’d imagine an ultra-fabulous astronaut might rock.  I thought her outfit was super fun in that stunning color with the polka dots peeking out – polka dots are super trendy this fall.

I’m looking at this one and I’m thinking, model?  She certainly had the height and skinniness down and like much of whom you saw within the tents was some amazing eye candy.  Don’t you love her mustard colored Prada?  Mustard is a trend color this fall and this girl included it with professional ease.  The little fitted jacket looks great with the printed dress (is that Missoni?) and paired with those funky boots.

If you’re a regular reader, you know how I love Chanel purses and the black and white color theme so it’s no wonder this fashionista’s outfit caught my eye.  In Rachel Zoe’s words, those booties are “ba.na.nas!”  Readers, you should know that I’m up for selling my Chanel, calf-skin, chain-link purse.  just click here to check it out!

Since I’m on a roll with the blondes, I figured I’d make it the running theme of this FabCam post.  This lovely blonde reminded me of me.  She made a boo boo under her left knee!  I wore a band-aid like this for weeks after falling in my heels.  I blame the uneven concrete sidewalk.  (should have sued lol)  But ok back to the fashion.  Do you not love the mix of rough and casual (i.e. the military jacket) next to the elegant silk sheath and sparkly necklace?  Talk about casual cool.

Ok so who is your favorite?

If you were featured here, please leave a comment and tell us who you’re wearing and how much you paid for each item!  Adoring fans want to know!

Inside the New York Fashion Week tents, my favorite booth was the Unicef area where you could play with props and take a silly photo with smilebooth.

I’ve seen these props on etsy and think they’re so cute!

I’m giving away the red vintage peplum dress shown here through the blog.  Click here for more details!

This last outfit is H&M (except for the belt and purse).  I bought the wool heart-printed shorts for $5bucks.  Don’t you heart them?  See the Chanel calfskin chain-link purse in the last two shots?  I’m selling that so make me your best offer and leave your email for me to return your message!

Back in the ’80s, I used to love being a prep.  I wore penny loafers, navy sweaters with green whales and mixed pink and green so often, you’d think Lilie Pulitzer was my idol.

I still like the preppy look but find myself more attracted to JCrew’s version.  Smart with funky jewelry.  I especially love adding unexpected twists to my preppy basics.  For instance, today, I started my outfit with this pretty Tahari printed skirt and basic black button down (from Karl Lagerfeld’s limited H&M collection).  Preppy and basic.  That is until I added the rocker influenced studded belt (don’t remember where I bought it) and funky booties from Aldo.

The purse is still classic but the Chanel chain strap adds a little more interest and the bib necklace found at a Charlotte Russe outlet store for only $5 completes the eccentric look.

I know the bib necklace is probably out of style since its trendy heyday has past but I couldn’t help but bring it back out today.

What do you think?

Every year there seems to be a new focus on denim.  This past fall/winter’s season was all about the cargo skinny jean.  Though I initially resisted, I finally gave into the casual cool look when I found this lovely charcoal zip-ankle cargo jean at Off 5th.  It was originally $100 but I bought the “SL8″ pair for about $30.  Gotta love the deal!

Here are a couple looks where I pair the jeans with grey plaid flats and a charcoal fedora- a perfect weekend combination.

The  “Just Sweet” flats and the Fedora were each only $30 or less.

The striped long sleeved shirt and flowery cardigan were cheap and cheerful finds from Forever 21.  Both were under $25 each.

I see this as the perfect weekend outfit to go sightseeing in or to attend a casual weekend brunch.  Can you believe I found this sweet Chanel purse at a consignment store?

The next outfit pairs fancy with casual.  I love mixing it up and often seek to wear contradictions.  Here I pair a fancier sequin black stretch sweater with my casual new cargos and again wear it with the same hat and shoes for a darker edgier look than the previously seen feminine floral pairing.

As you can see, I’m a huge fan of Chanel.  I LOVE their purses!  Which outfit would you wear?

I wore the outfit out with my faux fur coat from Express minus the hat today.

Thank God for flats!  A New Yorker can only walk so far in heels…
