We’re both a little under the weather this Valentine’s but still had fun playing dress-up for Valentine’s week. Juliet is sooo happy whenever she gets to wear a dress. And this extra fancy Amber Berry one is one of my favorites from her closet. For a special mommy and me outfit look, I paired it with a pastel cape from H&M and complimented it with my matching tulle dress from Needle & Thread which you can buy on Asos.com one of my favorite online shopping destinations.
Motherhood is extra sweet this year. Juliet is growing up, and communicating her love so much through her impromptu declarations of love, creative gift-giving, and endless hugs and kisses. She is more affectionate now than she ever was and it is truly such an adorable stage. I lovingly watch her grow up before my eyes and this Valentine’s I know she’ll be mine forever.
Every Monday on my @Fab_kids Instagram account, I feature mommy and me fashion photos with the hashtag #fab_mom. Most often, the mother -offspring duo is matching in some manner. Are matching outfits for mommy and daughter or mommy and son corny or cute?
Matching my daughter is something I shamelessly do consciously and unconsciously too. Whether Juliet likes it or not she is my mini-me and oftentimes will dress like it too. Here’s what I mean.
Sometimes we simply coordinate instead of being an exact match.
I find this is much easier to do since it’s rare to find brands that offer exact replicas for the mother and daughter. Coordinating colors looks great for photos and gives you more flexibility in using what you already have. Follow me on Instagram @fab_kids and @fabgabblog for more! And leave me a comment on whether you think this is cute or corny!

I hope you moms out there had a very happy mother’s day. Mine was pretty perfect with a beautiful brunch outdoors by Rockefeller Center, a stroll through Saks and midtown to enjoy the amazing weather and church with my honey and little one. Here we are imitating the elephant we found on the pillow and then walking through Rockefeller Center afterwards. She can imitate a handful of animals already at just 14months old (as well as identify 16 body parts and so much more)! I’m a proud mommy.
As you can see, Juliet and I shamelessly match one another. I’ve been a little obsessed lately with matchy matchy mini-mes thanks to my fashionable mommy friends on Instagram. They inspire me! See below for a quick sample! (@babyellestyle, @chantelleyglitz, @fitriaris @Karlitchaa and @Mcmilllantwinsnmom in that order)
